My name is Luke Bowman and I am a freshman. I have an older brother named Nate and my parents names are Ron and Ronda. I am from Ross, Ohio and I went to Ross High School. I played baseball and basketball in high school. I have 4 dogs named Emmie, Sophie, Eddie, and Lilly. I also have a cat named Rocky. I wanted to become a teacher due to my past experiences with my teachers.

Ever since I can remember my teachers would always encourage me to think critically and try to come up with new ideas to better myself for the class. In this class though I learned that the teachers also have to do the same thing has us students. They have to create lesson plans everyday which in effect would help the students come up with new ideas and to think critically. Also I learned that teachers should create activities for the students so that there isn't just one answer but rather many answers that the students can come up with. I think that education is all based on creative and innovative thinking because without that students wouldn't learn nearly as much and it would help them more for the future.

advocate, model, and teach safe, legal, and ethical use of digital information and technology, including respect for copyright, intellectual property, and the appropriate documentation of sources
Teacher's would always nail it into my head to never plagiarize or copy someone else's work because that is unethical and could cause some problems. They taught us different formats to use if we were using information that we recovered from the internet or from a book. This helped me learn the importance of responsibility of plagiarism. In this class I learned that the students aren't the only ones who need to be worrying about that but also that the teacher's should be worrying about the same thing. They need to make sure that they aren't copying someone else's ideas in class and to make sure that they are siting them correctly.

In my college experience I have been apart of a learning community. With this I have taken all of the teachers classes together and we have found different technology to improve student learning. In computer tools for teachers we have discussed a lot of different ways such as online games that could further the students learning. I learned a way how to make a poll where students can use there cell phones or a computer to put down an answer so it is like an individual test for everyone. I learned about google docs which allows the whole class to make a presentation about a certain subject and to make sure that each student did a slide so nobody is slacking. Overall I have learned all of these programs in this college class and it has really helped me with ideas to further the students knowledge when I become a teacher.
